Bonus! Bryan tells you how to fix it if iDVD fails to launch after upgrading to iLife ‘08!
“The problem some people are having with iDVD failing to launch seems
to be coming from older themes that were installed from previous iDVD
versions. By default iDVD ‘08 isn’t reinstalling themes it already
sees on the computer, so these previous ones are causing iDVD to crash
immediately upon launching for some.
The fix is simple. Reinstall iDVD from the iLife ‘08 install DVD and
this time choose “Customize”. Deselect everything but iDVD and under
the iDVD options be sure that the box is checked to install all
themes. This will reinstall the old themes from the DVD over the ones
already on the computer.
This should solve the problem!”
